Today I had to place the fenders on the frame again to see on which side I'd have to make the holes for the cable glands in the 3rd battery box. Took a few pictures of the whole quad bike. Think it looks pretty nice, the white frame and bordeaux red fenders. I was first planning to spray the frame black but now I think I'll keep these colors, only the frame will be matte white instead of the shiny white it is now.
But back to the battery boxes again. For box #2 I glued the last 2 plates. Will have to let this harden again. For box #3 I sawed the plates but can't glue them yet, didn't have enough clamps left. So I can't do this untill tomorrow.

The first box is all glued up now. It's very sturdy but I think I'll still weld the outsides just to be sure. Will also look better I think once it's sprayed, won't see the edges anymore then.
Also found a way to be able to get the batteries out once they're in, just put a cotton ribbon around one of the batteries. Can then pull this one out and just remove the other ones after that.
This weekend I'll saw the plates for the other 3 boxes as well and glue them together. Then I can start with the smaller pieces.

Today I received the hole drill bits so I could continue again. First I drilled the holes for the cable glands in the plate. After that I glued it again. Now I just need to wait again untill it's hardened. The batteries do fit quite nicely already.
Think I'll start with the next box after this instead of adding the smaller pieces. These pieces are almost all the same size for all the boxes anyway so I could do that in one go later on.

Today I continued with box #1. The glue is hardened and it's very sturdy. Wonder if I really need to weld the outsides, already seems sturdy enough to keep batteries together. I glued another plate now. Just not the last one yet where I still need to make holes as I don't have a hole drill bit with the right size. I only placed it there for the clamps to have some more grip.
Have to wait now untill I receive the hole drill bits I need.
